The position of Lead Shipping and Receiving Clerk isresponsible for shipping and receiving materials and leading and managing theshipping and receiving staff.

DUTIES

• Oversee shipping and receiving department operations
• Review shipping schedule with Plant Manager and assigned project to department members per the schedule
• Implement and enforce Allen Industries safety policies and procedures
• Provide training and guidance to shipping and receiving employees
• Handle day to day shipping and receiving functions (BOL's, Packing lists, organizing etc.)
• Lead, train and provide input to shipping team
• Receiving incoming shipments and check for accuracy of quantity, size, color, etc
• Ensure proper labeling of packages and store in warehouse in organized manner
• Keep records of outgoing and incoming orders
• Facilitate movement of packages throughout the plant

SKILLS

• Organized, detail and results oriented
• Knowledge of packing/crating procedures
• Leadership-demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
• Planning-ability to think ahead and plan over a time span
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to multi-task and handle numerous projects simultaneously

EDUCATION

• High School diploma, GED or the equivalent of training, education and experience

EXPERIENCE

• One year of experience in Lead Shipping and Receiving , service or similar industry. Sign industry experience preferred
