Under the Direction of the Plant Facilities Manager, the Part-time Maintenance Worker performs maintenance to Coliseum facilities in one (1) of three (3) areas: Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing or Audio/Visual. This position is not covered as defined by The Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen Employee Handbook.This position is part time and is not eligible for benefitsHours vary: nights and weekends requiredESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:ElectricalBasic electrical troubleshootingChange light bulbsChange electrical devices, such as receptacles, switches, etc.Set power per clients’ specificationsData network knowledge a plusHVAC/PlumbingBasic plumbing work and repairsBasic HVAC work and repairsSome refrigeration workAudio/VisualSet up and operate sound equipmentIdentifying different cables (cat 5/6, Coax, XLT, etc.)Repair or make cablesVideo and theatrical lighting programming knowledge a plusPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or GED Ability to follow instructions and work with little to no supervision to accomplish tasks independentlyBasic knowledge, experience and/or aptitude in designated area (i.e. electrical, HVAC/plumbing, Audio/Visual)Ability to effectively communicate in a courteous and professional manner with members of the public and other employeesComputer knowledge and the ability to learn how to operate software specific to the ColiseumAbility to understand drawings for event set upsMust have a flexible scheduleMust have his/her own hand tools and be able to use power tools safelyMust be comfortable working at heights ranging from ground floor to upper catwalk levels of arenaMust be able to communicate well with others and relay information to the Plant Facilities ManagerLICENSING: Valid Indiana Driver’s License
