Allegria Village is Hiring a Director of Building Services Near Dearborn, MI

Overview: The Building Service Director is responsible for managing the company's Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, I.T, Front Desk, Transportation and Engineering departments, which includes directing and overseeing all aspects of building services.

Job Responsibilities:

<· Oversees Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, I.T, Front Desk, Transportation and Engineering departments

<· Responsible for all facets of Preventative Maintenance and special projects including but not limited to identifying scope, gathering quotes, and submitting for approval.

<· Work closely with the Regional Director of Building Services and Administrators.

  • Ensures building is in compliance with current state of building and DOH regulations
  • Responsible to set goals, create strategies, and design objectives for everyone in the departments to accomplish the facilities objectives
  • Collaborates with other department directors to coordinate interdepartmental activities or work efforts.
  • Ensures adequate supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained
  • Creating, monitoring, and maintaining the budget for each department
  • Orient, train, and evaluates staff and be able to take corrective actions as needed
  • Scheduling and managing routing maintenance on all building systems
  • Overseeing all contractors that work with the facility
  • Ensuring the facility complies with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.

<· Create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the residents, visiting families and staff by maintaining the facility in a survey-ready condition.

<· Reviews and monitors operations of all stationary equipment such as boilers, hot water heaters, water chilling equipment, air handling equipment, fire safety and suppression equipment, emergency power generators and emergency response software and related equipment including security cameras (any and all that are applicable for the building)

<· Responsible for the exterior and interior maintenance of all buildings as well as infrastructures in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

<· Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends, holidays when necessary.

<· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

<· 3-5 years facility management experience

<· Previous experience as a Director of Facilities, Facilities Manager or Facilities Engineer.

<· Working knowledge of state and federal regulations.

<· Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English Language.

<· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.

<· Must possess patient, tact and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents and staff, if necessary.

<· Demonstrates commitment to continuing professional development.

<· Budgeting experience and strong math skills

<· Strong negotiation skills

<· Understanding of laws and regulations along with the willingness to keep up with the changes

<· Familiarity with construction, architecture, and various systems such as HVAC, electrical, etc.

<· Great leadership and interpersonal skills

<· Problem solving and organizational skills

Education/Certification

High school diploma or GED required Associates preferred
