AllCure Spine & Sports Medicine is Hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant Near Monroe, NJ

AllCure Spine and Sports Medicine is an innovative, family owned physical therapy practice that uses emerging, non-surgical treatments to provide long lasting pain relief.

We looking for a full-time PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) to help our physical therapy department in our Monroe location. We are an outpatient, multi-disciplinary practice specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction.

The applicant will work closely with a team of physical therapists, chiropractors, and an acupuncturists for the common goal of getting patients optimal results.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
  • Monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure safety and proper technique.
  • Educate patients on prescribed exercises and home care programs

Assist with Creating Treatment Plans:

  • Collaborate with physical therapists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
  • Implement treatment modalities and techniques as outlined in the treatment plan.

Proper Note Taking and Charting:

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, interventions, and communications in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and professional standards for documentation.

Performing Periodic Reexaminations, Discharges, and HEPs:

  • Conduct periodic reassessments of patient status to evaluate progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Prepare discharge summaries and instructions for patients completing their therapy programs.
  • Provide Home Exercise Programs (HEPs) and instructions to patients for continued care at home.

Assisting with Back-End Duties:

  • Support physical therapists with administrative tasks such as scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate communication between providers and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.

Visit Tracking:

  • Monitor and record patient visit data to ensure accurate billing and compliance with insurance requirements.

Attending Events:

  • Participate in community outreach events, workshops, or seminars to promote the practice and educate the public on physical therapy services.
  • Represent the practice in a professional manner at networking events or health fairs.

Qualifications:

Education and Licensure:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a physical therapy setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with outpatient orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and exercise protocols accurately.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation.

Technical Competence:

  • Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques, modalities, and equipment commonly used in physical therapy.
  • Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics related to physical therapy practice.

Professionalism and Teamwork:

  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting patient well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Organizational and Time Management Skills:

  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and administrative tasks.

Adaptability and Flexibility:

  • Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and clinic workflows.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours based on patient scheduling and clinic demands.

Schedule:

  • M,T, W,F (off on Thurs and weekends)
  • 9am-7pm (4 days)
  • Setting up capabilities for notes at home is an option

Salary:

  • $50,000-$70,000
  • PTO
  • Health Insurance
  • CE's paid at 100%

Candidates should have outpatient orthopedic experience and a desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. In addition, candidates should be hard working, outgoing, and have a strong work ethic to help our practice grow and continue to create an enjoyable environment for staff, as well as patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
