AllCare Family Medicine is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Atlanta, GA

Location: 4605 Roswell RoadAtlanta, GA 30342

Job Type: Full-Time

Shifts: Three 12-hour shifts (7:45am-8pm) with some weekends (8:45am-2pm)

We are currently looking for a Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

As a Medical Assistant at AllCare Family Medicine, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Obtaining patient vital signs, medical history, surgical history, medication history, and other relevant information.
  • Assisting healthcare providers with medical procedures such as laceration repairs, Pap smears, and incision and drainage (I&D).
  • Preparing and administering injections, including medications and vaccinations.
  • Collecting specimens such as blood, urine, stool, etc., and ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Conducting EKGs and interpreting results.
  • Performing hearing and visual screenings.
  • Administering ear and eye irrigation as needed.
  • Cleaning and dressing wounds.
  • Taking phone messages for providers, including prescription refills and other patient inquiries.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms.
  • Assisting at the front desk and performing other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the clinic.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • At least two years’ experience as a medical assistant in a Primary care/ Urgent Care setting
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • A commitment to providing excellent patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures.
  • Must be able to work independently or in team setting
  • EMR experience preferred (AthenaNet)
  • Professional demeanor
