Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. is a multi-disciplined building enclosure consulting firm seeking a highly motivated and skilled structural engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of architects, engineers, and other professionals to provide innovative building enclosure solutions for our clients.

Candidates can qualify for the position following an Engineering Track or a Field Experience Track. Initial responsibilities will vary based on experience and capabilities while in training.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply engineering concepts to challenging problems
• Structural analysis using principles and computer applications
• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills and experience.
• Prepare structural calculations/design for projects involving various materials
• Review for quality assurance and quality control and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Responsible for coordination and communication with architects, engineers, sub-consultants, and contractors.
• May prepare forecast of workload and monitor backlog

Desired Skills and Experience

• Registered as a professional engineer
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Knowledge of building science principles and building codes and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
