We’re currently looking for a person who is able to generate detailed drawings/plans for projects utilizing CAD software.

The role can be successfully accomplished remotely, with occasional team meetings, or job specific discussions held at the Birmingham, Alabama office.

Some specific functions and responsibilities include:

• Prepare accurate construction drawings by utilizing CAD software. All drawings will be due for review on set dates; therefore, managing work flow is essential. Perform activities related to project creation, scheduling, pre-qualifications, and management as directed.
• Keep the team informed of progress or challenges. Effectively communicate and convey information, concepts, and concerns to people with differing communication styles.
• Stay current on new developments and technologies related to commercial roofing.

In order to successfully execute the functions of the Drafter’s role, remotely, the drafter must already have CAD software at their disposal. If not, the role may have to be performed at the All-South facility. The schedule for an “in-house” Drafter is fluid, and primarily set by the Drafters efficiency and accuracy.

A Drafter who performs well, may be offered additional project management and estimating opportunities, in order to continue growing within the company, if they elect to explore those options.

Some of the knowledge and experience that is preferred include:

• Experience as a CAD Drafter or a similar role.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
