Description

All Saints’ Episcopal School is situated on 147 acres in west Fort Worth and is one of the largest EC-12th grade Parish-independent Episcopal day schools in the country. And while the face of the School has changed over the years, the foundation and rich tradition has remained the same. Graduates attend a wide variety of selective colleges and universities. The School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and the National Association of Episcopal Schools.

All Saints’ Episcopal School is seeking an experienced, motivated, energetic individual to join the Maintenance department. The Maintenance staff performs custodial, maintenance and operations support tasks that ensure the support, care and upkeep of school property and supports the school community.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Director of Facilities

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensures highest level of support to every School Division, staff member, faculty member, and other contacts.
  • Self-dispatch and/or at request of supervisor(s), to facilities to diagnose/repair/engage vendor to repair various mechanical and system issues, including plumbing, roof, doors, electrical, HVAC and other similar systems.
  • Responds to and takes appropriate actions in the event of emergency or critical incidents to resolve, confine or prevent potentially injurious or hazardous conditions.
  • Assist in setup for school events and meetings.
  • Have knowledge of minor electrical (replacement of light switches, electrical outlets, and replace lighting ballasts, etc.).
  • Have knowledge of minor plumbing (unstop sinks, toilets, drains, etc.).
  • Have knowledge of minor HVAC (replace air filters, blow out drain lines, etc.).
  • Ability to repair sheetrock wall, paint, install baseboards, and replace ceiling tile.
  • Ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues.
  • Possess organizational skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities.
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions, and work independently.
  • Demonstrable troubleshooting methodology.
  • Performs package and mail delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have at least 1 years’ experience as facility maintenance or handyman.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must possess basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft product (word, excel, outlook)
  • Work as part of on-call rotation (typically one week on call and several weeks off) as needed for emergencies.

Physical Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Have visual acuity.
  • Perform well under pressure.
  • Able to lift 75lbs and/or move up to 75lbs.
  • Able to carry, ascend, descend, and work on ladders.
