Job Description

A Front Desk Coordinator is an administrative professional who works in a dentist's office and handles administrative tasks within the workplace. They assist the dentist and the dental assistants as well as tend to clients who come to the office. Front Desk Coordinators are often the first people clients see when they arrive at the office and are sometimes considered the representative of the dental office.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • The Front Desk Coordinator maintains accurate and current patient records, including dental histories, insurance information, and treatment plans.
  • Schedule patient appointments, including follow-up visits, and coordinate with other dental professionals when necessary.
  • Greet patients when they arrive for their appointments, verify their insurance information and collect any necessary co-payments or other fees. Assist patients in checking out after their appointments and scheduling any follow-up appointments that are needed.
  • Handles billing and insurance tasks, including submitting insurance claims and tracking payments.
  • Support marketing and promotional programs to increase new patient growth
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, treatment plans, and other matters.
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills, a friendly and outgoing demeanor, and excellent organizational skills. The candidate should also be reliable, efficient, trustworthy, and knowledgeable.
  • Possess strong computer skills, know Microsoft Office products, and have the ability to learn new programs.
  • Ensure that patients are scheduled effectively, staff productivity is high, collections are collected promptly, expenses are kept down, and auxiliary supplies are purchased in a proactive manner.
  • Ensure the dental practice operates efficiently and effectively by acting as the primary point of contact for patients.

Qualifications

Having experience as a Front Desk Coordinator for 1 year is preferred

High school or equivalent (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $22.00 per hour
