POSITION OVERVIEW

The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in entering and filling prescriptions, maintaining inventory stock levels, maintaining prescription records, serving our patients promptly and efficiently

SCHEDULE AND PAY

This is a full-time (40 hour) position.

Pharmacy Open: Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM, and Saturday 8AM – 12PM. Scheduling needs will be discussed during interview.

• Pay Range: $18-20, depending on education and experience

DUTIES

• Fills prescriptions, enters data into computer system, locates and transcribes patient demographics.
• Maintains inventory levels, retrieves outdated medications, uses the computerized ordering system.
• Answers the phone, takes messages and prescription refill information
• Cleans and maintains the pharmacy
• Receives, labels and stocks prescription drugs and prescription supplies
• Run daily reports and complete refrigerator temperature report
• Call patients regarding prescriptions that have not been picked up 10 days after fill date
• File reports, prescriptions, invoices
• Prepares and assists paperwork for DMEPOS (Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetics/Orthotics and Supplies) for Medicare Recipients

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current PTCB or ICPT certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months required
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of experience in pharmacy setting (preferred)
• Bilingual is a plus!
