Head Stocker

Duties:

Responsible for directing, supervising the stocking of the merchandise within the store, This includes but is not limited to:

• Organize, assist and direct Stockers to ensure the store is well stocked.
• -Ordering of merchandise items to keep shelves well stocked
• Assisting Stockers in unloading and counting deliveries to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain log book on deliveries (credits, pickups, etc.)
• Work in new items (if required) and fill displays & shelves with booked merchandise.
• Ensure proper removal of trash and other stocking debris from sales floor and back room and advise eligible employees on proper loading and operation of cardboard baler.
• Overnight Head Stockers have additional duties to include oversight of store cleanup before opening hours
• Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager on Duty.

Abilities:

Basic mathematics (counting, addition and subtraction), Ability to work independently. Ability to read, write and make records of credits, pickups, etc. Communication skills. Team Leadership. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift 50 pounds. Work includes standing, reaching, reaching above the shoulder, twisting, bending/stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
