Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

A Studio 6 Deer Valley Maintenance Technician is to welcome, assist and treat each guest and co-worker with respect, warmth and Create A Rewarding Experience.

A Maintenance Technician’s primary focus is to help maintain the hotel property including the restaurant and assist with any repairs that is needed.

The primary duties and tasks to be performed by a Maintenance Technician includes and not limited to the following:

  • Respond to all maintenance calls from the Front Desk, Managers and housekeeping.
  • Make repairs as needed or instructed to leaks in faucets, clogged toilets, non-working guest room thermostats for air conditioning/heating needs.
  • Make repairs as needed or instructed to air conditioning/heating components and units.
  • Make repairs as needed or instructed to all guest rooms dry walls, wall paper, cabinets, window coverings/shades, locks, doors, tables, chairs, beds, nightstands, television sets/remotes, refrigerators, microwaves etc.
  • Make repairs as needed or instructed to plumbing, leaks in faucets, clogged toilets electrical needs in all areas of the hotel.

  • Paint areas of the property including the restaurant as needed or instructed.

  • Assist in hotel security.
  • Assist in keeping the hotel clean and free of debris and trash.
  • Assist in keeping the Engineering offices, maintenance shop and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Assist in keeping all maintenance tools and appliances in good working order.

  • Assist guests when approached.
  • Attend all required staff and department meetings and trainings.
  • This position will require you to stand, walk, stoop, bend, climb, bend, reach, carry, twist, push and pull a variety of objects, for a variety of reasons, using all safety precaution/measures as to not injure yourself or anyone around you.
  • This position will require the use of hands, fingers, wrists, arms, legs, feet, etc. to move, raise, lift, push, pull a variety of objects using all safety precautions/measures as to not injure yourself or anyone around you.

  • Must have a positive demeanor and attitude.
  • Must be able to work with a variety of personalities in the same department as well as different departments.
  • Must be able to work alone and/or with a team without supervision in the same department or with other departments.
  • To report any safety hazards, theft, or threats from guests or co-workers.
  • Adhere to and follow all policies and procedures according to the employee handbook.
  • The ability to listen, read, write and communicate, understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences in the English language or via interpreter.
  • The ability to verbally communicate information and ideas in a clear, respectful and professional manner.
  • To assist upper management with any reasonable requests that they may have.
