About this opportunity

The Client Development Specialist will be responsible for driving incremental sales and market share growth through direct selling efforts for strategic, innovative, customer-facing programs. This includes creating strategic dialogue with high level decision makers/influencers within targeted accounts and positioning Align as a complete, innovative solution for their Orthodontic and Digital Platform needs. This individual will serve as a crucial member of the Business Innovation team, with a primary focus on growing the Doctor Subscription Program

The Client Development Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase engagement, usage, and customer satisfaction. They will serve as the key liaison between customers and our internal teams, ensuring effective communication and fostering long-term engagement. Qualified candidates will need to have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong desire to form deep, strategic partnerships with some of our top customers. The CDS will need the ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, up to 25% of the time.

In this role, you will…

  • Drive sales results and expand market share by proactively identifying, targeting, and converting key leads/accounts for enrollment into the Doctor Subscription Program.
  • Build strategic customer relationships, create customer loyalty, and develop trust with high-profile accounts. Promote customer engagement and encourage adoption of new product features.
  • Negotiate and overcome customer objections by developing effective sales techniques and dialogue, driven by developing a deep understanding of Align’s products and strategic offerings
  • Act as primary Sales and Business Development point of contact and change champion with Align field sales teams. Provide support to these teams throughout the selling lifecycle including customer pitches, positioning, deal structuring, pricing, and agreements.
  • Partner with sales training teams to build out and deliver sales training and effectiveness plans including selling guides, playbooks, objection handling, roleplay scenarios, and best practices.
  • Continually search for and improve ways to message and deliver Align’s competitive advantage
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market - adapt sales strategy as markets change, identify creative opportunities and messaging to deliver Align’s competitive advantage and value proposition.

Additional responsibilities

  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the sales process
  • Develop strategic planning and project management skills at the regional and national level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate and advocate
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Pro-active approach with focus on performance and results
  • Ability to attend national tradeshows, sales meetings and conferences as needed
  • Knowledge of Ortho and Dental products preferred, especially if the candidate understands current and new industry trends, technologies, competitors, and place in the market
  • Responsible for performing other duties as assigned

In this role, you’ll need …

  • 2 Years Professional B2B sales/customer development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to present data and findings to different stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of digital and/or mobile solutions, technology industry, medical devices preferred
