Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer with management experience to assist in planning and directing all aspects of engineering activities within the company.

What you will be doing:

• Oversee engineering team members, direct design activities, develop, and complete activities
• Identify design risks and actively mitigate
• Review customer requirements to develop proposals and compliance matrices
• Develop system architecture from customer specifications
• Create high level system layouts based on customer requirements documents
• Create project schedule of engineering activities
• Maintain control of design activities and keep the project on schedule
• Meet with customers and conduct major design reviews
• Meet with suppliers to ensure proper engineering controls of parts manufacture
• Guide engineers in creating detail and assembly design
• Develop certification documentation plan in conjunction with Certification Manager
• Develop/document test procedures and test results with design engineers and stress support

What you need to qualify:

• 12 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Working knowledge of FAA Part 25 regulations
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and organize teams to meet deadlines and complete projects on time
• High level of understanding customer technical requirements
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering practices
