The planner will issue purchase orders to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained, distribute inventory nationally across ecommerce and retail channels to effectively meet variable demand needs, and manage end of life inventory risk.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesResponsible for generating SKU level purchase forecasts and ensuring appropriate inventory levels of the multi-billion dollar handset portfolio of a key AT&T supplier in alignment with KPIs like Inventory On Hand, Service Level, and Day Stock On Hand.Collaborates with Demand Planner on forecast changes to understand impact to supply plans at a SKU level and proactively make changes to supply plans.Issues Purchase Orders to support required supply purchases for delivery at specified time and location.Owns resolution for problems with inventory and implements procedures to avoid future problems.Performs financial analyses projecting cash flows related to purchases.Creates and recommends strategies for replenishment and retail stocking across multiple unique channels.Tracks and provides recommendations to decrease End of Life inventory.Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation.Provides executive level summaries of inventory positions weekly.Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Job Qualifications:3 to 7 years of relevant inventory planning experience or certification may be required. Bachelor's Degree preferredStrong analytic and Executive communication skills.Proficient in MS office suite (Excel, Access, Word). Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets; familiarity with advanced Excel techniques like Xlookup, Pivot Tables, and Index MatchProactive, self starter, abstract thinkerStrong attention to detailExperience managing large volume of products stocked in multiple channels (retail and online) preferred.Experience with Planning systems like BlueYonder or O9Candidate must be located in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA and be willing to work 3-5 days in the office per week.
