Ali`i Health Center (AHC) is looking for a Pre-Registration Representative to work in a hybrid remote capacity.

Responsibilities:

NEW PATIENT

• Contact patients via telephone to obtain and/or verify patient demographic and guarantor information prior to visits to ensure that the patient record is accurate and is available for billing purposes.
• Assist patient with MyChart registration.
• Provide New Patient paperwork electronically if requested.

NEW AND ESTABLISHED PATIENTS

• Verify the patient’s insurance eligibility, whether via phone, website or electronic eligibility checks.
• Contact patients via telephone to verify insurance eligibility discrepancies and other needed information.
• Obtain benefits to aid in payment collections at time of service.
• Process over the phone patient credit card payments
• Correctly and timely enter patient data as required.
• Exhibits and promotes a standard of excellence in the performance of all duties and interactions with patients, co-workers, and outside contacts.
• Maintains flexibility in hours, as needed.
• Works as part of a team, demonstrates willingness to assist with wherever and whatever is needed.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Previous experience working in a health care office setting preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Medical terminology/transcription preferred
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to greet patients and visitors in person or over the phone.
• Must be self-motivated needing little supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
