POSITION SUMMARY

• Must hold active TS/SCI Clearance. This is an in-person position (telework is not available).
• Satellite System Operator/ Maintainer IV: Manage and develop SATCOM network operations function for a 24/7 operational mission. Perform daily satellite payload operations and management while overseeing user authorizations and de-authorization. Evaluate current, ongoing, and future infrastructure needs while recommending changes as necessary. Oversee the day-to-day performance and activities of the team, including network engineers, to ensure service quality and network efficiency. Develop and implement department strategic plans, processes, and procedures while enhancing integration between the team and other departments.
• EPS OMII Role: Real-time management of operational networks, assessing and mitigating negative impacts in time-critical circumstances while prioritizing missions and user segments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Leadership, Management, Problem Solving, Planning.
• Oversee contract execution, program management, team building & employment.
• Support strategic-level customers with excellent O&M delivery to a no-fail mission.
• Attend regular meetings with the Government customer about EPS technical status, performance, and programmatic.
• Oversee and maintain certification and training plans and update training materials as necessary for new equipment.
• Support future procedure development, data analysis, and other related activities.
• Perform Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities, including developing the EPS-R Integrated Support Plan.
• Recommend changes to new and future operations procedures, policies, and training.
• Support system engineering and integration assessments for current and emerging systems.
• Provide technical feasibility and analysis support as required.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

• IAM II (Sec )
• EPS CAP planning tool
• Minimum: High School Diploma
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
• Demonstrated background in management and leadership

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• 10 years experience in management and ops within DoD/USG strategic communities
• Prior SATCOM operator/ maintainer experience
• Demonstrated ability to support the implementation of DoD, CJCS, USSTRATCOM, and USSF Vision & Strategy
• Demonstrated ability to lead and support cross-functional teams across DoD
• Exceptional communicator (written and verbal) capable of facilitating, briefing, speaking, and writing.

PREFERED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Demonstrated ability to form and manage teams, synchronize goals and operational units, and other offices toward a goal (plan, synchronize resource advocacy, coordinate, manage/synch multiple projects)
