Salary: $90,000 - $130,000
POSITION SUMMARY:
· Must hold active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility. This is an in-person position (telework is not available).
· Electronics Engineer II/ Maintenance Manager: Design, integrate, maintain, and test electronic circuits and analyze the performance of components and integrated systems utilizing multiple testing methods and procedures. Candidate must show expansive knowledge across numerous subsets of digital technology (including information technology (IT), radio frequency (RF), satellite communications (SATCOM), and electrical). Responsible for end-to-end maintenance, whole system and line replaceable unit (LRU) troubleshooting, fault isolation and characterization, LRU testing, repair and/or replacement, system operations, system and component signal, and data flow, and overall communications quality to and from all connected nodes (space and terrestrial).
· EPS OMII Role: Plans, coordinates, deconflicts, and performs operational level maintenance (OLM) activities on satellite communications equipment, associated communications equipment, infrastructure, radio frequency (RF) components, electrical components, and associated spares.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Leadership, management, problem-solving, and planning.
· Perform hardware and software preventative maintenance IAW established and future procedures and policy.
· Perform operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and planning activities on non-operationally accepted equipment and systems without formally endorsed guidance.
· Conduct maintenance action tracking and report product deficiencies on mission equipment.
· Implementation/ development of procedures, data analysis, and other activities on operational/ non-operationally accepted equipment.
· Recommend changes to operations procedures and training documentation.
· Support system engineering and integration assessments on new program requirements.
· Monitor and maintain corrosion control procedures IAW Government-approved Corrosion Control Plan
· Support cryptologic management functions in support of the EPS CAPS mission.
· Perform duties as COMSEC user and as a alternate COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO).
EDUCATION/TRAINING
· Preferred: IAM II (CompTia Sec )
· Minimum: High School Diploma
· Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
· 3 years’ experience in SATCOM Operations/ Maintenance
· Capable of autonomously performing all known tasks, can assist and train others, and lead small scoped activities with known tasks, conditions, and parameters
PREFERED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Real-time ground systems operations experience for GEO/HEO or LEO spacecraft.
· Prior military experience as a Cryptologic Technician or Electronics Technician, Digital Wideband Systems Maintainer, Command and Control Systems Operator, or Satellite Communications System Operator/ Maintainer.
