Position Summary:
The community wellness camp leader will engage in environmental and educational strategies and will also address availability and accessibility of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs in the targeted community.
Primary Responsibilities:
-To provide substance use prevention to population of focus as approved by the Department of Mental Health and Aletheia House.
-To serve as the primary staff person for all camp activities
-To maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all prevention activities
-To submit weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required by DMH and Aletheia House
-To attend and participate in community-based efforts as directed by Community Wellness Coordinator
-To assist in leadership activities and other training activities as directed.
Qualifications:
-Must be an undergraduate or graduate college student with a major in psychology, social work, education, or related field.
-Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
-Prior experience in substance abuse treatment/prevention a plus
-Good driving record required
-Motor Vehicle Report required if driving on behalf of Aletheia House
Travel:
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included
Hours/Schedule: Part-time, Non-Exempt, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
