Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work Onsite for our client in Richardson, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Manufacturing Process Engineer will develop, deploy, and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals for clients and its customers' products. The engineer will work closely with the Test, Failure Analysis, Quality, and Safety teams.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods.
  • Create process routings and manufacturing instructions.
  • Design/build/procure tooling and fixturing as it relates to products.
  • Support equipment upgrades and conduct cost/benefit analysis for process changes.
  • Deliver improvement for process safety, quality, and cycle times.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity.
  • Create manufacturing processes that are sustainable and repeatable while delivering a product that meets customer CTQs.
  • Participate in early-stage process development to successfully capture Manufacturing, supply chain, Quality, Test, Installation, and service requirements.
  • Propose different solutions outside set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and interdependent production cycles.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with 3D modeling/CAD software.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in print reading, wire schematic reading, and engineering specifications.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with BOM (PLM) tools.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool(s). (i.e., Oracle, SAP).
  • Minimum of 6 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Use technical experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills. (i.e., Microsoft Excel tools, macros).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving
  • Manufacturing process development experience in a high-volume environment
  • Six Sigma Certification (Yellow/Green/Black)
  • Analytical thinking to act as a resource and possibly lead small, low-risk projects.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements (data entry, using a computer mouse) are frequently needed.
  • Occasional travel may be needed.
