Aledade, Inc. is actively recruiting for a VP of Communications that will have a pivotal role in translating and amplifying company strategy and promoting company culture to both external and internal audiences. The VP of Communications reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the strategy and implementation of Aledade's communication plan. You will work cross-functionally to develop communication strategies for corporate announcements, mergers and acquisitions, crisis communications, issues management, and more to elevate Aledade’s mission and impact. 

We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or from our offices in Durham, NC; New York, NY; Austin, TX; or Bethesda, MD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following:

• Lead the strategic planning, direction and execution of the Communication function at Aledade and work cross functionally to achieve goals, including building a robust internal communications function 
• Oversee speaker engagements for executive and business leadership to increase company visibility and impact
• Lead media relations with emphasis on developing and broadening relationships with top tier journalists to increase awareness and impact of Aledade’s work
• Enhance social media capabilities and activity, continuing to evolve the communication function in keeping with digital trends by being adept at social listening, creating dialogue, analyzing outcomes, and developing solutions based on lessons learned
• Partner with the People Team to ensure Aledade’s employment brand is amplified externally, securing appropriate awards around talent, innovation, culture, and business performance are secured and promoted 
• Partner with Investor Relations to ensure consistent messaging and communication schedule
• Support and amplify Aledade’s ESG activities 
• Analyze corporate communication effectiveness and modify strategy informed by data
• Advise senior leaders on executive communication and preparation for internal and external forums 
• Partner with key teams (i.e, legal and finance) to develop and keep record of changing communication policies 
• Lead and build a high performing communications team 

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred 
• 10 years’ experience in communication leadership roles, preferably public companies 

• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including ability to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely
• Obsessive attention to detail, both in messaging and in written documents 
• Expertise with various communication channels for effective dissemination of information 
• Proven success in a senior role of a Corporate Communication function in a high-growth environment 
• A track record of creating a work environment known for collaboration, alignment, accountability, and trust
• Familiarity with the health care ecosystem and value-based care are a plus
• Ability to think beyond their immediate team and contribute to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in DE&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)

• This is a high performance, high growth, fast paced, distributed organization. The ability to get up-to-speed quickly, be productive and successful in an intense work environment is critical. Willingness and ability to travel is required, it is anticipated that this will approximately 10% to 20% of work time in a typical month.
