Position type: Full-time Contract
Duration: 12 months of contract
Location: South San Francisco, California
As a Scientist your responsibilities:
Seeking a contractor with attention to detail who can support front-to-back sample management and shipment organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inventory and registration of tissue samples.
- Label tissue samples according to internal identification and tissue type.
- Catalog stained slides and FFPE tissue blocks for archival purposes.
- Communicate closely with external vendors to organize periodic shipments.
- May be asked to manage various tasks in support of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory human tissue panels.
Qualifications: Required Education:
- Associate's degree OR Bachelor's degree with equivalent direct work experience of minimum two (2) years of in laboratory setting within hospital/pharma/biotech or CRO.
- Proficiency in working with tabular data (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Proven track record of analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
- High personal integrity and credibility
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency in Labware Biorepository database, or similar tissue banking software
- Prior experience in sample management

Pay Range*: Pay Range: $32 - $34 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
