Position Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Reports To: Senior Accountant

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Full Time: Yes

Schedule: Monday Friday; minimal weekend work throughout the year; some holidays required

Location: Ale-8-One Facility Winchester, KY

Direct Reports: No

PPE Requirements: Safety Glasses & other as required

Other Specifications: Occasional lifting, carrying, reaching, squatting, bending, standing, and long periods of continuous sitting and computer work.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Daily processing of Customer Payments by cash, check, EFT and credit card transactions.
• Prepare deposit as needed
• Collection of past due Accounts
• Respond in a timely and professional manner to customer requests
• Perform Reconciliation of Customer Accounts, research and resolve account discrepancies.
• Resolves and verifies authorized deductions

Key Position Requirements:

• Accuracy and strong attention to detail is essential to be successful in this position.
• Excellent Customer Service skills. Customers include both internal to the company and external to the company.
• Experience creating simple worksheets in Excel. Advanced Excel skills are not required, but a solid understanding of basic Excel mechanics and simple formulas is required.
• Strong verbal and written skills. Ability to communicate in a professional manner and resolve conflicts relating to AR Collection Activities.
• Possess the ability to work well on a team and respond to changing priorities.
• Honest, trustworthy and aligns with Ale-8’s Behavior Standards, to communicate with integrity and respect and foster a positive work environment.

Preferred Experience & Background:

• Cash counting & daily transaction deposit reconciliation
• 2 years of experience in A/R Collections, A/P Processing and General Ledger
• Experience with basic and some intermediate Excel and Word required
• Effective Math Skills and knowledge of reconciliations
• Experience with ERP System a plus
