VDC Detailer
What we are looking for:
Aldridge is seeking a VDC Detailer to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role is responsible for producing fabrication spool drawings, detailed rack drawings, CAD as-builts and CAD files for our CNC machine.
What you’ll do:
- Create files in BobCad for the CNC machines
- Create underground spacers for underground conduit packages
- As-built drawings from project teams
- Create cut lists for steel products
- Design rack drawings
- Be involved in project builds
- Attend meetings with PreFab group and project teams
- Produce fabrication spool drawings
- Utilize BIM software to model electrical systems
- Reading job specifications and drawings
Who you are:
- Excellent communication skills and work attitude
- Team player, relates well with employees and superiors
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have good organization skills and time management skills
- Be able to put in the time and effort necessary
- Should be open-minded and decisive with problem solving skills
- Ability to perform well and meet expectations in a fast-paced environment
- Self-driven with desire to learn
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Google platforms
- Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks or any other BIM software (preferred)
