About the Position

Aldrich is looking for a Director of Marketing to join our team! This role will serve as a crucial part of shaping and guiding Aldrich’s growth and success and will lead by planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing the marketing strategy, communications initiatives, and direction in alignment with Aldrich's strategic goals.

At Aldrich, we serve as part of a team, each representing a unique area of expertise. This position will interact with every function in the firm working together to combine the firm’s strategic and business plans with key objectives: building awareness, driving new business, adding client value, supporting M&A activities, and partnering with recruiting. The Director of Marketing reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Candidates must have great people skills, excellent business acumen, and an understanding of sales/business development principles.

You'll Get a Chance To

  • Work closely with firm leadership, including practice and industry leaders, to translate firm and business unit strategic goals into a marketing plan with objectives, key results, and measurable metrics.
  • Create trusted and impactful partnerships with company leaders to help shape marketing efforts that are aligned with Aldrich’s priorities.
  • Act as an executive sponsor for strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Set the tone for Marketing at Aldrich and acts as the primary champion of the firm brand.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on the value of Marketing efforts, clearly articulates the impact of Marketing, and celebrates firmwide and Marketing wins.
  • Manage and tracks the annual Marketing budget to ensure that firm’s resources are allocated optimally to meet the objectives outlined in the marketing budget.
  • Lead a cross-functional team responsible for marketing strategy and execution, including communications, content, creative, events, and digital. Responsibility for hiring, onboarding, ongoing training and development, and offboarding, as needed.
  • Set the vision, direction, and goals for the team; provides performance feedback to ensure traction towards those goals. Manages performance proactively, taking steps to address poor performance. Directly supervises 2 managers of marketing and communications.
  • Coach the team to deepen understanding of Aldrich’s mission and vision, what we do, and why we do it.
  • Create and sustains a work environment of mutual respect, collaboration, and transparency where team members strive to achieve excellence.
  • Optimize the marketing team and its systems and processes for maximum business impact.
  • Contribute to the Aldrich strategic priorities for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Marketing, including extensive experience in one r more professional services organizations (accounting firm, law firm, financial services, etc.)
  • Proven experience in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales/business development principles, connections between Marketing and Sales, and the ability to collaborate with BD professionals and partners in pursuit of new business.
  • Understanding of advanced business planning, strong business acumen and excellent project management skills.
  • Superior ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with business owners, c-suite executives, management, colleagues, and individuals both internally and externally.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, empathy, and personal integrity.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple details, tasks, and/or projects concurrently.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality delivery.
  • Sound analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
