Title: School Psychologist
Reports to: Special Education Director
Primary Job Goal: Work with groups of students with unique needs of a varying nature
Terms: 10 Month Contract
Qualifications: School Psychologist Endorsement (089, 489)
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Administer evaluations and appropriate documentation as it relates to special education including but not limited to: achievement, behavior rating scales, observations, parental input, etc.
2. Generate re-evaluation summary reports and ensure that all required components are included. Attend IEP-team meetings to review these reports and assist IEP-team with eligibility determinations, ensuring all appropriate state and federal guidelines are followed.
3. Coordinate the process and complete referrals for homeschool/private school students when appropriate.
4. Review all special education files for transfer students and ensure all folders are in compliance.
5. Assist preschool team in child find efforts. This includes coordinating transition meetings with TEIS and scheduling intake meetings for parent referrals. Also working with preschool staff during screening events and reaching out to the community to ensure child find requirements are met.
6. Consult and assist with all district referrals via RTI/data team process.
7. Assist teachers with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for special education students and the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
8. Consult with regular education teachers, special education teachers, paraprofessionals andprincipals regarding special education students.
9. Provide training on special education issues as needed.
10. Attend meetings, workshops and conferences for updates on local, state and federal guidelines.
11. Maintain a referral log for all special education referrals to include state required information.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $51,750.00 - $78,401.00 per year
