```Job Summary:
We are a one dentist private practice looking for an additional dental assistant. We provide comprehensive dental services to include general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. Our dentist enjoys training our employees in new techniques and equipment when ever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients to the treatment area
  • Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as composite fillings and impression materials
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is required
  • Additional certification or training is an asset (EFDA)

Requirements:

  • Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits:

Work week:

We work four days a week, Tuesday thru Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm and take a one-hour lunch break. We may work later if required by patient needs.

COVID 19 Precautions:

We provide front office Plexiglas partitions, masks, face shields, back-office gloves, masks, goggles, gowns, jackets, and shoe coverings. We have additional medical grade dental air purifiers and additional mobile extra oral dental suction equipment for aerosols. We pre-screen patients, provide hand sanitizers, and utilize electronic patient records.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
