What you will be doing
The Digital Fulfillment Teams provide cutting edge solutions to engage and improve digital experience for millions of our customers in our online channels across multiple Albertson Companies' brands. Working in a fast-paced agile development environment, this position will be critical in delivering solutions to advance the capabilities of online experience. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a distributed systems landscape, and desires to contribute in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining solutions to advance the capabilities of online experience.
The position will be based in Plano, TX.
Main responsibilities

• Hands on code writing and doing code reviews
• Evaluates complex user requests, projects, and clarifies objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs
• Improves/sustains embedded system software using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise
• Conducts and prepares feasibility studies for new applications and/or existing ones and makes decisions within general parameters under little supervisions
• Demonstrates standards to deliver high-quality products and services, models adherence to quality standards for more junior employees
• Focus on quality in all aspects of work; Follows established standards of excellence and continues to strive to improve them.
• Participates in the hiring process (by submitting referrals, meeting candidates, attending recruiting events, presenting externally, writing blogs)
• Contributes to team activities and collaborates within all teams within/across domains to solve problems.
• Has deeper understanding of quality standards and guides others

What we are searching for

• 4 years of programming experience (OOAD, Java EE, Web Services Technologies, SOAP and/or REST).
• Experience with application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, and/or JBoss.
• Experience with database technologies (Oracle, DB2, UDB, and/or SQL Server) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience in UI/Web 2.0 Development (JavaScript, CSS, SCSS, HTML5, AJAX, jQuery, any of the frameworks, NodeJS) - Understanding of Web Application flow.
• Minimum 1 years of experience with cloud platform services and application development using Microsoft Azure or GCP or AWS.
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with automated unit testing with tools like JUnit/TestNG.
• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile).
• Ability to understand clients/stakeholder expectations and recognize and escalate issues that may affect delivery
