Description

This position involves lifting, pulling, and pushing large boxes or crates in the warehouse; accurately counting and verifying products loaded from warehouse; occasionaly may need to operate a forklift and a stand-up forklift; attention to detail and precision in operating equipment; and scanning items from transfers/container unloads from dock location to warehouse location.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Loading or unloading trucks or containers

· Operate scanner to scan products in and out of warehouse.

· Scan items being loaded on trucks.

· Multitasker - will require tallying product for loads.

· Accurately provide a count of merchandise as required.

· Receive product pulled for each load going out.

· Check inventory against reported inventory.

· Communicate effectively with co-workers, lead people, and supervisors any shortages.

· Safety operates a forklift to stack and remove products if needed.

· Safely operate stand-up forklift or pallet jack if needed.

· Responsible for keeping racks filled with required product.

· Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized.

· Responsible for empty rack break down.

· Work on load lines or picking if needed.

Qualifications

· Extensive knowledge of outbound load processing 

· Knowledge of computers and scanners 

· Ability to do basic math add/subtract.

· Ability to read and write legibly

· Able to read and write and understand written instructions. 

· Excellent organizational skills 

· Ability to prioritize workload and determine next steps. 

· Basic math skills, ability to correctly count and tally. 

· Microsoft Office basic skills 

· Ability to work independently and make correct decisions. 

· Ability to correctly enter data. 

· Proficient in the use of a hand-held scanner 

· Understanding of warehouse layout, ability to quickly locate bays and items. 

· Able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds. 

· Must be capable of using a scanner. 

· Attention to detail for missing parts or orders.
