We are looking for a Peer Advocate who is a NYS Certified Peer Specialist) to help us make a difference by serving individuals in Albany County with Behavioral Health Challenges. Albany County Department of Mental Health is committed to building and sustaining a diverse, representative, and inclusive team.
We are seeking applications to fill a position as a Peer Advocate within the Department in the Assertive Community Treatment Team to work with individuals struggling with behavioral health challenges by providing guidance, mentoring and aid in removing obstacles to behavioral health recovery. Emphasis on serving and being knowledgeable about diverse communities and populations is appreciated. This is a competitive civil service position that may be filled provisionally by the appointment of a person who meets the minimum qualifications established for such positions. Specific hours will be discussed further if an interview is offered.
