The RoleAs a plumbing technician, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team. You will diagnose and repair plumbing issues and lead customers to informed and confident solutions to their homes needs. The position will be based in our office, and you will be dispatched throughout the Las Vegas Valley to our customers businesses and residences. 

Responsibilities

– Complete plumbing, drain cleaning and other related in-home, service calls.
– Know how to establish customer rapport to use the right products and services to solve customers needs.
– Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
– Understand your performance criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding personal and professional goals.
– Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
– Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall efficiency and success of the business.
– Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
– Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats.
– Help to train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
– Be accurate and timely with invoices, time cards, curbside feedback and option sheets.

Requirements

– Licensed with knowledge of local plumbing codes and ability to make on-the-job applications.
– Proven track record in soldering, pipe threading, fixture installation, gas leak testing and repair.
– Clean, safe driving record.
– Organizational skills with exceptional follow-through abilities.
– Strong verbal and written communications.
– Passionate about Alaskan Plumbing Heating & Air and helps to protect and build the reputation in the community

– Physical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate hand and power driven tools and equipment commonly used in the plumbing field.
– Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
– Ability to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions.
– Ability to maintain balance working off the ground using ladders, scaffolds, and/or mechanical lifts.
– Ability to climb ladders and work in high, precarious places.
– Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
– Ability to work outside; exposed to heat and cold.
– Ability to see and read with or without vision aids.
– Ability to climb stairs.
