Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) operations of the Accounting Services department within ANTHC. The AR Manager manages non-hospital payment collection processes and procedures. Ensures all AR activities are in line with company goals and objectives, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles, and in compliance with government regulations and covenant obligations.
Responsibilities:
Managing the AR team to ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, review and distribution of invoices and accurate application of cash receipts. Supports the Director, Accounting Operations in meeting deadlines, filing requirements, completing reports and ensuring audit procedures are followed.
M anages daily and weekly reporting of invoicing totals, aging total, cash receipts and invoice adjustments. Creates monthly, quarterly and annual reports and may assist with the preparation of data for the annual audit. Ensures invoices are paid timely and unpaid invoices are reviewed for relevance of reserves for uncollectible amounts.
E nsures that all established policies, rules, regulations and agreements are followed. Ensures that all department processes and procedures are appropriately documented and ensures compliance. Implements and new accounting policies/procedures as necessary to achieve company objectives and/or comply with regulatory requirements.
M akes recommendations to improve the quality of invoicing and collection procedures. Champions process improvement efforts achieved and enhanced by the use of automated systems. Acts as the business owner of the AR modules of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Partners with the ERP Director identify upgrades and additional models to enhance the accounting capabilities of ANTHC.
R esolves more complex customer service issues and problems utilizing expertise in AR and collections.
P rovides leadership, guidance and direction to assigned staff. Develops goals and priorities in conjunction with employees and assigns tasks and projects. Develops staff skills and training plans. Counsels, trains and coaches subordinate staff. Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations. Reviews and signs off on timecards.
P erforms other duties as assigned or required.

M INIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
M INIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
N on-Supervisory - Six (6) years of applicable professional experience.

S upervisory - Two (2) years supervisory experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or similar accounting leadership position.

A Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Hospital Administration or a related field.

P REFERRED CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
C ertified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
A DDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
M ay be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
M ay be called out to work off-shift in emergency situations.
A ccording to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain specific technical certifications and programming language skills.
