Alaska Environmental is seeking qualified candidates for Environmental Field Technicians. Qualified candidates will have basic math skills, legible handwriting, and a willingness to learn. This position will be responsible for conducting asbestos and lead air monitoring during renovation and demolition projects. Training and certifications provided to qualified candidates; this entry level position provides an excellent path towards a career in the environmental and safety industries. College students majoring in environmental science or engineering are strongly urged to apply. Upon completion of training successful candidates can earn $20.00 to $28.00 an hour.
Minimum Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED
· Basic Math Skills
· Legible Handwriting
· Willing to travel to and work in remote locations for extended periods.
· Asbestos and /or Lead Certifications - Preferred
· NIOSH 582 Training – Preferred
· Willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
