Alarm Systems Inc. is Hiring a Low Voltage Technician Near Quincy, IL

Our innovative and growing company is seeking candidates to join our team for a low voltage alarm/security technician! To join our team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications below.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot and configure access control and intrusion systems.
  • Installing and repairing residential and commercial, CCTV, burglary, and fire alarm systems.
  • Readjust equipment, repair, or replace equipment and test for operation.
  • Ability to travel overnight for consecutive days as needed to repair, fix, install, and test equipment.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on systems.
  • Run and terminate low voltage cable.
  • Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions.
  • Respond to customer service calls and perform scheduled maintenance calls.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, pull wire.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents is preferred.

The starting wage in this ad is reflective of minimum wage - Pay is commiserate with experience and will be discussed during the job offer phase.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
