Alamo Area Council Of Governments is Hiring an AAA Care Specialist I Caregiver Support Near San Antonio, TX

This is a responsible, non-supervisory position requiring familiarity withvarious government programs, such as Texas Administrative Code (TAC),Administration for Community Living (ACL), Health and Human ServicesCommission (HHSC), Older Americans Act (OAA) and insurance policiesrelated to the elderly, various rules & regulations regarding aging programand services; Coordinates referrals for service to the care coordinationprogram in the region to ensure prescribed needs of client are carried out inaccordance with OAAA/service definitions, and provides technical assistanceand contract management in planning, development and implementation ofprograms and services for the elderly in the 13 counties of the AreaAgency on Aging (AAA)

About Alamo Area Council Of Governments

Defined as a political subdivision of the State of Texas, AACOG was established in 1967 under Chapter 391 of the Local Government Code as a voluntary association of local governments and organizations that serves its members through planning, information, and coordination activities. AACOG serves the Alamo Area/State Planning Region 18, which covers 13 counties and 12,582 square miles. Comprising the area planning region are Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson counties. AACOG provides general technical assistance to m...ember governments in their planning functions, preparation of applications, and the administration of area-wide programs. We also administer the Alamo Local Authority for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. In addition, AACOG sponsors special projects in response to local government needs or requests.
