Alamance County Government is Hiring an Office Assistant III Near Alamance, NC

Alamance County is in search of an Office Assistant to coordinate, organize and assist in operations of the reception area for the Child Support Unit. Employee will perform a variety of functions that include records and reports management, filing, one on one customer services, correspondence and other general administrative tasks. Work requires an excellent working knowledge and experience in general administrative functions and use of general office equipment.

  • Performs a variety of functions that include reception, agency-wide switchboard, one on one customer services, and other general administrative tasks; such as scanning, coping, distributing mail.
  • Maintains high level of professionalism and to conduct business in an ethical manner at all times
  • Detects need for other agency services and make appropriate referrals
  • Uses a variety of office equipment and systems
  • Effectively communicates with customers and the general public 
  • Gathers and gives information and instructions regarding the work process and procedures

License/Credentials: Possession of a valid NC driver's license.
Additional Information: All DSS positions are subject to reallocation contingent upon funding, agency needs and client population and are subject to perform work during emergency or disaster situations as required and may be required to staff shelter overnight.
