We are looking for an Application Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our applications, as well as assisting customers with installation and configuration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

GENERAL PURPOSE
Under general supervision provides technical engineering support for duct, fittings, and other sheet metal products for the HVAC wholesale distribution industryand other commercial HVAC products. Designs, documents and communicates integrated solutions that will correct, replace or enhance existing equipment and processes. Respond to customers' technical questions and concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive to job sites and perform inspections of HVAC equipment in various locations such as roofs, attics, crawl spaces, etc.

2. Serves as a technical resource for assigned accounts. Answers product questions, describes product capabilities, purpose and potential for applications. Perform onsite inspection and analysis with contractors.

3. Provides customers with detailed product specifications, schematics and designs. Answers incoming technical calls, documents customer problems and develops solutions through the design of better, more effective product applications. Communicates product parameters and performance standards and ensures that customers are informed of product capability and limits.

4. Documents all technical projects, i.e. customer's pre-existing equipment, operating difficulties, proposals, design schematics and installation details.

5. Presents product demonstrations and participates during sales presentations.

6. Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

1. Strong analytical abilities needed to research product literature, evaluate existing customer equipment/operations and develop, design and coordinate installation of solution oriented systems.

2. Effective communication and customer service skills. The ability to ask questions, listen carefully, visualize possible solutions, and articulate technical responses after eliciting relevant and complete engineering details.

3. Strong time management and organizational skills.

4. Strong process and mechanical engineering aptitude to understand industrial processes and equipment, and to develop systems that can accommodate and integrate with customers' existing equipment and product line, while achieving technical expectations.

5. Detail orientation needed to draw schematics, accurately note product specifications and measurements.

6. Strong team concept necessary to work closely with Inside and Outside Sales and product vendors.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

● High school diploma and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

● A Bachelors or Associates Degree in an Engineering related field.

● Knowledge/ Certification in HVAC.

● Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb various ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud when in the field.
