Alabama Regional Medical Services is Hiring a Nurse Manager Near Birmingham, AL

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining the provision of quality and adequate nursing care given to the patients. Responsible for coordinating Clinical training programs for medical support staff; recognizing and assisting in solving professional, administrative and supervisory problems in the clinics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Works with Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to determine the optimal allocation of staff.
2. Coordinates the care of patients during visit.
3. Serve as administrative authority for medical support staff to include Medical Assistants Care Coordinators, and Transition of Care Specialists in the clinical setting.
4. Ensures that appropriate staffing for each clinic is in place and request staff to backfill vacant open position(s).
5. Oversees and facilitate medical support staff training and development.
6. Maintains proficiency with scheduling and assists with scheduling as needed.
7. Provides clinical expertise in medical emergencies, crisis, and behavior management techniques.
8. Directs staff response to emergencies, such as severe weather, fire or bomb scare. Participate in fire drills. Directs disaster evacuation plan, as needed.
9. Assists with the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
10. Prepare monthly reports as requested by the CMO.
11. Perform annual evaluations of all subordinate staff.
12. Oversees supply chain management including inventory and stocking of supplies in the clinics.
13. Participates on various QI Subcommittees, like Risk Management and Infectious Control.
14. Assist in the clinic as necessary to maintain sufficient clinical flow.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
