Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining prior authorizations for medical procedures and services, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines and company policies.
Job Responsibilities
Submitting medication prior authorizations
Submitting imaging prior authorizations
Submitting procedure prior authorizations
Schedules patients’ appointments with imaging facilities
Sending appeal letters in response to denied authorizations
Ordering specialty medications from specialty pharmacies
Remains up-to-date on healthcare, authorization processes, policies and procedures
Acts as back up to all Ancillary Services Positions
Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-2 years’ work experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
Skills Effective communication skills verbally and written Positive, patient focused attitude
