Start your Voyage – Apply Now Get To Know The Opportunity Voya US is seeking a skilled and motivated Application Support Consultant with expertise in Omni Plus, OMNI script, Linux, COBOL, SQL, and Oracle Database to join our dynamic IT team. You will play a pivotal role in the managing a development team and maintenance of our software applications, including web-based solutions and database systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, develop, and support software solutions that meet our business needs. The Contributions You'll Make Design, code, test, and maintain software applications using OMNI Scripts, COBOL, Linux Shell Scripts, SQL, and Oracle Database technologies. Collaborate with team members to integrate COBOL components seamlessly into larger applications and projects. Utilize expertise in Linux and UNIX environments to debug, enhance and deploy COBOL, Linux Shell script, Omni Script programs. Manage Oracle Database solutions, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures. Provide Production Support, monitor batch for job abends and resolve them with minimal assistance. Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action. Work on Incident, Service Requests and Changes to execute them within SLA. Execute Application Health Check and accurately report the status to all stakeholders. Maintain clear and organized documentation of software code, specifications, and user manuals. Ability to problem solve application issues quickly and successfully within SLA’s Ability to complete analysis and provide root causes to business and all levels of management Work with offshore team to ensure production jobs are completed successfully and status updates are provided Influences and clearly relates technical alternatives to business objectives, using effective communications with customers and stakeholders Understands business impacts when production issues occur and completes the tasks required by working OT if required and/or hand-off to the offshore team Provides training and guidance to offshore team members as needed Provides support for application maintenance work Running cycles production/lower environments Fixing abends Fixing vulnerabilities Providing audit support Completing ticket assignments Attending meetings Learning new code changes from project team Working with CID-Oncall support Quick response time Meeting SLA’s Other duties as assigned Meet target of 98%-100% of SLA’s for stability Ability to work with clients/vendors if issues with files On-call 24/7 based on rotation schedule and expertise Participate in annual DR Test by reviewing DR Plan, providing support during DR exercise and ensuring test is completed within the change window Ensure deployment of code changes follow proper channels through Clearcase and that all changes are completed within the change window Minimum Knowledge & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field, or relevant work experience 5.5 to 9 years of complex (multi-tiered) software development experience Required Skill: Omni Plus, Omni script, Linux, Cobol, and SQL Technical knowledge in one or more programming languages and development tools OMNI Admin Web Core Java Unix Shell script SQL, Oracle, DB2 COBOL, DB2, Data Transfer Service Now Micro-Focus enterprise server and tools Linux scripting Excel PowerPoint Basic understanding in US Retirement Services domain specially in Defined Contribution business like 401(k), 403(b), 457, IRA plans etc. Basic understanding of OmniPlus & Omni Admin Web application with high level functional features Hands-on experience in debugging & enhancement of Cobol, Linux Shell script, OmniScript programs Experience with DevOps and version control tools like Git enables effective collaboration and code management within a development team. Writing well designed, testable, efficient code. Hands-on experience with Service now tool and ITSM process. Ability to handle multiple tasks and collaboratively work as a team member. Knowledge on production support and production incident trouble shooting skills. Participate in application hardening & optimization initiatives & Omni maintenance activities. Flexibility to work in rotational night shifts and rotational weekends. Experience in production support area with the ability to handle critical issues, multi-task, delegate, communicate to all levels of management and business operations in a professional and timely manner Experience in managing offshore resources and delegating work assignments #LI-BP1 #LI-Remote Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
