Our software solutions are the effective link between our customers machine and commercial products. As the Application Support Engineer, you will provide technical and functional customer support of our various software applications through phone support and in-person & remote customer training.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate remote, in-house, and onsite customer training and support on machine operation, process optimization and CAD/CAM programming softwareo Remote, in-house and onsite training to customers requires 25% travel Collaborate cross-functionally to develop new product lines prior to launching Offer suggestions to enhance metal fabrication processes such as plasma, laser, oxyfuel and drill/mill operations Manage enhancement and bug fix lists and test software after changes and upgrades Attend trade shows to represent the company and products Effectively communicate during extensive interaction with customers Develop knowledge base articles and other training materials Conduct equipment and software demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers Work closely with other departments to ensure products are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements Participate in continuous improvement projects and proactively maintain collaborative relationships. Support a global network by effective communication skills across geographic, cultural, cross-functional, and organizational differencesMINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in related field 3 years of related experience preferred automated machinery and metal fabricationADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS experience Knowledge of CNC equipment Experience in laser cutting and material handling systems Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with good organizational skills and the flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects with exceptional attention to detail.
