Akron Zoo is Hiring an Education Specialist (Part-Time) Near Akron, OH

Description

The Education Specialist will prepare and conduct a variety of educational programming. This position will present paid tours and animal "Get Closers", on and off grounds programming including ZooMobile, On-Grounds programs, Various animal Encounters, Exhibit Talks and family adventure programs. 

This is a 20 hour a week, part time, year-round position.

Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in Education, Environmental Science, theater or related field. 

Should have at least one season of interpreter experience or guest experience. Other programming experience also acceptable. Animal handling experience preferred. 

 Valid Ohio driver’s license required. 

 The Akron Zoo is a Drug-Free Workplace and an EOE.
