Position: Summer Camp Enrichment Lead

Program: Summer Enrichment Camp

Reports to: Director of Education

Job Summary: This person is responsible for the planning, organizing and implementation of all summer camp activities from 6/10/2024-8/02/2024. Will provide daily high quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants. Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.

Job Duties:

· Responsible to plan, lead, implement and instruct camp programs for children

· Coordinate engaging activities for all campers; Assist with the development of new programs

· Plan, organize and implement daily classroom activities

· Program site set-up and clean-up is a requirement of the position

· Provide classroom instruction appropriate for the specific age group

· Enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate classroom management techniques

· Provide feedback and age-appropriate redirections for each camper

· Demonstrate leadership and professionalism to campers and Specialist Staff Member(s)

· Assign and delegate tasks to Specialist Staff Member(s)

· Other duties as assigned by the Education Director

Qualifications:

· College degree in Education or enrolled in an Education or Youth training degree program strongly preferred

· Supervisory experience needed

· 2 years Instructor teaching or Summer Camp Instructor Experience

· Ability to supervise children ages 9 through 12 (Incoming 4th – 6th Grade)

· Proficient in Word & Excel for completion of reports, forms, and other administrative needs

· Prepare for and attend Zoom and onsite meetings as directed

· Must enjoy working closely with elementary children
