Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) to join our team. As a CDCA, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Responsibilities: - Conduct mental health counseling sessions and assessments - Assist in clinical research studies related to addiction treatment - Provide addiction counseling and behavioral therapy to individuals and groups - Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans - Support individuals with special education needs in their recovery process - Incorporate Christian counseling principles into therapy sessions for those who desire it - Collect and analyze data to track progress and evaluate treatment effectiveness - Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions - Provide care for individuals with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) - Offer direct support to clients in various aspects of their recovery journey Experience: - Must hold a valid CDCA certification or be eligible for certification within the state - Previous experience in mental health counseling or addiction treatment is preferred - Familiarity with clinical research protocols and data collection methods - Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches, including behavioral therapy and special education techniques - Ability to provide Christian counseling services, if requested by clients - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Note: All positions at our organization are paid, including internship positions.
