We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join the Airthings for Business Software team and bring our solutions to the next level.
Airthings is a tech company creating indoor air quality monitors and solutions for homeowners and building managers. We are headquartered in the heart of Oslo with customers in more than 50 countries. We are 140 employees and counting, including scientists, engineers, developers and visionaries. Airthings is on a mission to ensure people around the world take control of their air quality through simple, sustainable and accessible technology solutions – making radon and air quality solutions an essential and universal element for every building or home.
The team you will be working in is mainly responsible for the integration services available for customers in the business segment, including RESTful API, Webhooks and MQTT. These integrations are helping our customers access data, and find ways to improve indoor air quality and reduce energy usage in their buildings. We work agile and are continuously improving the way we work.
The integration team consists of 3 developers and a Product owner. As a member of the team you will have a great impact on how we build our services, technologies we use and our priorities moving forward.
Our cloud services provide a solid platform, but Airthings is growing fast and so is our customer base. This creates a greater need to make sure our integration services scale. Our Kotlin backend services are powered by AWS solutions such as ECS, Lambda, S3 etc. and we continue to experiment with different technologies.
We are looking for a team player, intellectually curious and eager to grow with the company. You will work on maturing and maintaining our services developing simple, elegant, tested and maintainable solutions.
First and foremost we are looking for someone who is curious, and is willing to learn and experiment with new technologies, and dive into and help evolve the tech stack that we use today.
