What we are looking for:

At Airspace, the Finance team plays a pivotal force in driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring the integrity of business operations! We’re looking for a skilled Senior Accountant with experience in the industry (desired). This person will report into our European Accounting Manager and will lead our efforts to take on new, exciting, and complex projects and will advise the VP of Accounting and the CFO on strategies and practices to ensure that procedures are accurate and documented as we scale rapidly. This opportunity offers a broad scope of work ranging from ensuring smooth daily operations to spearheading cross-departmental initiatives to streamline financial processes and drive efficiency.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

Accounting / Tax / Audit Support:

• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Provide input into department’s goal setting process
• Lead the Netsuite transition & implementation together with the European Accounting Manager 

Accounts Payable:

• Responsible for processing all invoices received from suppliers and facilitating payment to all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
• Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
• Ensure all invoices are received on time

Accounts Receivable: 

• Become a true partner with the customer, understanding their operational needs and the implications those needs will have on the billing process. Join meetings with high-value prospective and current customers and those that may require unique billing structures to develop a rich understanding of the customers' processes 
• Proactively identify billing and invoicing errors and project manage cross-departmental process updates .
• Maintain precise records of all incoming payments
• Prepare and send invoices to clients
• Contact clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices

Ideal Background and Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in all aspects of accounting operations (cash disbursements, cash receipts, corporate credit card processing)
• Advance skills in Microsoft Office / Google Suite applications and advance skills in excel (providing complete analyses, drive recommendations, and provide executive-level reporting)
• Experience in Netsuite/Exact, or other accounting systems
• Experience in Looker and SQL is a plus
• ACCA qualification is a plus
• Excellence verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Fluent in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus)
• Strong project management experience coupled with self-motivation and ability to effectively prioritize to meet business needs
• A self-motivated mindset with a keen eye for details and problem solving is a must
• Positive attitude and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with people from different geographies and backgrounds
