Position Summary:

The Director Enterprise Accounting is primarily responsible for the proper execution of accounting processes and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant data integrity of the company's Balance sheet, Income statement and Statement of Cash flows. Some of the main duties include among others, Financial Accounting (IFRS), Corporate Reporting, Indirect Rate Allocation, Tax, Cost Accounting Structure, Government Accounting, including AUS and Subsidiaries Disclose Statement. The position will aid the Sr. Director - Corporate Controller with all accounting and business related as required.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support and approve all aspect of general accounting function, which includes general ledger and its subsidiary ledger accounting
  • Ensure the timely completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
  • Provide shared services on accounting and financial reporting to Airbus U.S. Subsidiaries
  • Support complex accounting transactions including investment, mergers & acquisitions, leases, pension, etc.,
  • Responsible for financial reporting of Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. to Airbus Defense and Space Consolidation team in Europe
  • Support & coordinate financial reporting of Airbus U.S.'s subsidiary and other affiliate companies
  • Responsible for Company's Indirect Rate allocation which include Fringe Benefit, Service Center Allocation and G&A as part of Month end close process
  • Maintain data integrity in allocation base and pool for accurate cost allocation to be compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standard (CAS)
  • Lead various projects including working with the various Airbus Defense and Space legal entities to support Financial Consolidation, M&A Transactional Analysis and Finance System Integration
  • Lease preparation of backup for tax, audit and consolidation schedules
  • Lead external and internal audits including, but not limited to, timesheet floorcheck, annual financial statement audit, DCAA, 401(k), etc.
  • Implement financial controls necessary for a federal government contractor, aligned with Airbus ICSA regulations, to ensure safeguarding of company assets as well as guaranteeing the accuracy and completeness of financial statements
  • Provide oversight of adherence of company policies, develop and/or update as needed, and provide annual trainings
  • Oversee Treasury and Bank Functions for Cash Controlling
  • Manages Disclosure Statement updates and all financial coordination with DCAA including support of audits
  • Ability to grow and develop Accounting team
  • Coordinate with Financial Systems Manager and Controllers on process and system improvements/automations and ensure compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices and compliance with government regulations

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting CPA (MBA or CMA preferred)

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 10 year in the accounting and financial planning and analysis function of a government contractor
  • Required: Must have extensive experience working with government contracts, incurred cost submissions and associated reporting
  • Required: Must have experience in working with Certified Accounting Systems and Experience with Large organization and associated interfaces
  • Required: Experience in a FOCI Mitigated Entity

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Working knowledge of Indirect Rates
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, IFRS
  • Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Proficiency in English required

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Experienced user of Deltek Costpoint, including the following Costpoint modules: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Projects, Billing and Revenue, Procurement and Time & Expense
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Proficiency in Cognos
  • Experience in using the Government Contract invoicing platforms, iRAPT, MPO. FINCE and Exostar

Travel Required:

  • Less than 5% Domestic and International

  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
