The Accounting Manager will direct the Company’s accounting functions and best practices, coordinate the day-to-day functions of the accounting staff, assist engineering and operations with accounting models and provide ongoing communication to the Controller on the status of financial activities. Key Responsibilities:Direct the Company’s accounting functions and practices and coordinate the day-to-day functions of the accounting staffOversee the preparation and execution of the financial close financial close, reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze complex P&L financial data, and prepare management reports and other financial information.Participate in management reporting and policy making as it pertains to the accounting departmentAbility to communicate and make recommendations to senior level executives as well as various department headsProvide technical and analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems within the functional limits of the accounting departmentResponsible for preparing quarterly financial statements, general journal entries, account reconciliations, year-end audits, and annual budgetsAssist in reviewing trial balance accounts prior to preparation of quarterly financial statementsMaintain the Company’s system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and assetsEnsure compliance with the Company’s capital reporting processEnsure that all accounts balance and reconcile on a monthly basisEstablish, review, and maintain system of internal financial controlsManage and/or participate in special accounting projects as assignedCoach, mentor, and train the accounting team for professional developmentPerform other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of experience in accountingProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelProficient with accounting softwareDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems in a timely mannerSelf-starter, strong work ethic, and a team playerExperience with job costing, WIP and cost accounting requiredCPA and/or accounting master’s degree preferred
