Job Description
AHRC NYC is looking for a Direct Support Professional EXPERIENCED WITH DUAL DIAGNOSIS and CHALLENGING BEHAVIOR to fill a 32HR. OVERNIGHT POSITION at their WEST 157TH ST. residence in MANHATTAN.
PAY RATE $19 PER HOUR.....PLUS FREE FAMILY MEDICAL INS. & PAID TRAINING
SCHEDULE: THURSAY 10PM-8AM FRIDAY and SATURDAY 10PM-9AM
NO DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED!
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
Qualifications
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), Required!
- Experience with Dual Diagnosis & Challenging Behavior, Required!
- Experience with providing ADL'S, Required!
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.
