Overview

The RCP III is responsible for providing safe, quality respiratory patient care and teaching to patients and families. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with the heathcare team, participation in on-going feedback regarding performance improvement, implementation of clinical pathway/plan of care to guide patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

The RCP III must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: adult general care and critical care areas, bronchoscopy procedure, and/or Pulmonary Function Testing. As needed, this position may be asigned to perform preceptorship of new hires/students and/or acts as a Relief Lead. Acting in a relief lead includes organizing, delegating and coordinating the daily activities of the Respiratory staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited schol for Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years acute care experience in Respiratory Services.
• Knowledge of Title 22, CLIA and CAP standars preferred
• Current CA RCP License
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (within 30 days of hire)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
